Job DescriptionJob Description
  • Lead the Payroll team in developing, implementing, and overseeing payroll programs for operations in the United States within the firm and its affiliates
  • Manage compliance requirements for payroll operations, including the development and implementation of payroll policies and practices
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on the interpretation of payroll policies and practices
  • Enhance data audit processes to ensure consistency and accuracy of automated data
  • Stay updated on current laws, trends, and best practices in payroll, compensation, and benefits, and assess them for potential implementation, making recommendations when necessary
  • Manage general ledger processes and foster relationships between payroll and accounting stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Employee Tax Team and pay and tax vendors for calculation and remittance processes, as well as internal HR and assignee communication for seamless processing
  • Work with project teams to automate payroll processes through HRIS enhancements and implementations
  • Develop a team of benefits experts across both countries and ensure cross-training for business continuity purposes
  • Promote a customer service mindset within the Payroll team and vendors, and provide coaching and assessment of team members and vendors across all aspects of the Payroll service delivery model

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in managing payroll across multiple locations/geographies
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with vendors, managers, employees, and HR team members
  • Analytical skills to develop comprehensive analysis and proposals
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and the ability to align current programs for compliance
  • Ability to translate vision into action, manage multiple priorities, improve operations, and maintain positive relationships while delivering results
  • Expertise and leadership regarding payroll requirements for employee equity grants/vesting, including multinational taxation and expatriate employees
  • Experience with Workday Payroll is required
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain continuous engagement within the team and across departments
