Under the supervisor of the Chief Financial Officer, this position works closely with the investment team to maintain the accounting and fiscal operations of the investment portfolio. This position performs custodian banking tasks, reconciliations, tax reclamations, portfolio value monitoring, investment accounting, and prepares financial reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and reconcile data from investment managers against custodian bank records.
• Monitor daily cash and investment activities.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy in master custodian’s investment reporting.
• Process cash transfers for investment funding, rebalancing, and management fee payments.
• Handle transactions related to private investments.
• Oversee custodian bank’s month-end and year-end investment closings.
• Collaborate with the custodian bank on tax reclamation processes.
• Reconcile and post investment activity to general ledger and create financial statements.
• Prepare investment related work papers and accounting reports for auditors.
• Assist with preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).
• Coordinate and complete special projects as directed by management.

Initial training period requires onsite work at 4700 Mueller in Austin Texas Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM. Paid onsite parking is provided. Post training, work is hybrid with three days working at 4700 Mueller in Austin Texas and two days remote. Work location is subject to change.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Accounting, Finance, or a related field plus two years related experience.
