SUMMARY 
Role is responsible for working with departments to ensure the proper vendor setup, paperwork, purchase orders, and approvals are all completed.  Responsible for maintaining good relationships with other AMPP departments, and answering questions around the procurement policy. Provide recommendations and input to help improve organizational policies or procedures dealing with procurement.  This position requires a strong degree of autonomy, as well as identifying and taking on additional projects for Procurement. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•    Maintain vendor list, including vendor set up in the Financial Management System as wells as tracking and uploading vendor contracts in Association Management System. 
•    Conduct evaluation and reevaluation of external vendors including quality, cost, and performance.
•    Ensure that any new supplier meets requirements established in the procurement policy. 
•    Ensure that all purchases are consistent with AMPP’s procurement policy and purchasing procedures.
•    Place purchase orders with vendors for the procurement of production material and services, as required to meet quick demand and turnaround times.
•    Manage status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication and mitigation of future potential problems, and active management/closure of completed POs.
•    Develop relationships and work closely with Accounting staff to ensure the accurate recording of ordering/receiving/delivering supplies and inventory that is in sync with the Inventory Module within the Financial Management System.
•    Assist with projects as needed and help in identifying areas for improvement across procurement processes. 
•    Support Procurement Supervisor and Director in reviewing contracts, as well as working on special projects.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 
No supervisory responsibilities required for this role.

•    Ability to self-direct and identify solutions to issues with little or no guidance from supervisor
•    Strong attention to detail 
•    Competent in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Little or no travel is required for this position.  

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
•    Associate degree or equivalent experience, required. 
•    5 years or more experience with procurement or supply chain roll. 
•    Vendor management, purchasing procedures or purchase orders is highly preferred.  
•    Background in accounting with accounts receivable experience, preferred. 
•    Experience with new vendor documentation and evaluation, and vendor price/delivery discrepancies, preferred. 
•    Experience with reviewing contracts, preferred.
•    Experience with vendor price/delivery discrepancies, preferred.
