Maintenance Handyman / Event Assistant (On-Site) - Full Time / Benefits

Position Summary:

The full-time maintenance handyman / event assistant performs the day-to-day tasks to maintain and clean the interior and exterior building and its adjacent property and provides event support. This position has medical/dental/vision benefits and paid vacation/sick/holiday time off.

The maintenance handyman / event assistant position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to basic electrical, mechanical and plumbing related repairs and preventative maintenance, repair and painting of doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs and other parts of the building, maintaining trash and recycling receptacles around the facility, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing rugs, dusting, washing windows and other surfaces (i.e. bathroom mirrors, etc.), and restocking supplies. Light landscaping including but not limited to yard blowing, sweeping, trimming bushes and cutting grass. Event set ups, support and clean ups including light work with audio/video equipment. Light work with computers, networks and cameras. Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

*Good communication skills

*Ability to follow directions

*Reliable day-to-day transportation to Tiburon, California

*Ability to safely use common power and hand tools

*Knowledge of various building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, network)

*Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them

*Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting various surfaces

*Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemicals

*Knowledge of working with floor scrubbers, yard blower and other maintenance/janitorial equipment

*Ability to lift and remove at least 75 pounds

*Good organizational skills

*Excellent time-management skills

*Must pass a background check required for employees of licensed preschool facilities

Compensation: $27 to $32 per hour depending upon experience and including medical/dental/vision health benefits and paid vacation/sick/holiday time off

Hours: 40 hours per week (on-site). Schedule will include weekends.
