Construction Accountant/Bookkeeper- Smyrna, GA
firstPRO360 is seeking a Construction Bookkeeper/Accountant for a permanent position in the Cumberland area. The ideal candidate will have full cycle AP/AR experience, AIA billing, and Lien Waivers experience. Great opportunity for growth in this role as the Controller will be retiring soon.
Schedule - 5 days in office
Keys:
3+ years of full cycle AP/AR experience
Construction background with Lien Waivers exp
- Acumatica exp is a plus but will look at any large ERP software such as Sage
- Bachelors degree is a must and ideally Accounting or Finance
- Will be supporting the Controller with GL, Month End and Booking Journal Entries.
- Excel Skills (Pivot Tables & VLOOKUP)
Selling Points - Annual Bonus (8-10%) during Christmas based on company experience, Small Company setting and growth opportunity due to Controller retiring in a couple of years, Benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life. 401 match.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have some experience with construction accounting, cost codes, retainage, pay applications, etc.
What you will be doing:
- Processing AP
- Processing AR
- AIA Billings (G702, G703, Lien Waivers)
Use Acumatica, Spectrum Viewpoint, or Sage Software
- Reconciliation of Bank Accounts & Credit Cards
- Preparing Financial Statements
- Analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts
- Understands Retainage
Would be amazing if candidate had any of the following (but not necessary):
- Experience with WIP logs.
- Experience with Payroll / Payroll Compliance
- Experience with Depreciation of Fixed Assets
- Experience with 3rd party Financial reviews / audits
- Experience with Cash Flow Forecasting
- Experience with intercompany transactions
