Established Dutchess County property management/development organization seeks a motivated individual to troubleshoot technical problems/tenant concerns, self-perform maintenance tasks, identify solutions. Ideal candidate must enjoy working with people, be capable of performing essential work to keep our properties in great shape and utilize a work order software program to manage workflow and complete tenant service requests in a timely manner.

Must have a clean driver’s license, be organized, have technical/general knowledge relating to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, preventive and facility maintenance & repair.

This position is full time, Monday – Friday with normal business hours, on call required as needed for emergencies. Will report to Maintenance Supervisor.

Salary: Starting $25 per hour, negotiable depending on experience. Benefits include 401K, health insurance, holidays and paid time off.

Some Responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on property equipment and systems
  • Conduct inspections of buildings and facilities to identify maintenance needs
  • Respond to tenant requests for repairs in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with tenants and address their needs
  • Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and procedures
  • Mechanical knowledge to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions
