Business Development Representative

Area Temps and Area Professionals, a division of Area Temps, provides expert knowledge and customer service to our workforce and clients. Our vision is to build lasting relationships with our employees and the companies we serve by making the right match for both parties.
We are looking to fill an internal position with our agency for a Business Development Representative who is excited to join our prestigious sales team. In this role, you be the initial point of contact with potential new clients to sell our services to generate new business accounts. You will engage prospects via cold calling, emails, face-to-face presentations and social networking groups. The ideal candidates will have an energetic, can-do attitude and a career mindset who is willing to be promoted to new roles when they arise. This is a direct hire opportunity Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - No weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizing various prospecting strategies to generate new business
- Phone marketing to potential new companies to sell our services
- Servicing current database accounts
- Researching and qualifying companies to expand database contacts
- Negotiating contract terms
- Presenting qualified candidates to new and existing clients
Qualifications:
- Two years of proven business-to-business sales experience
- Must be results-focused
- Engaging interpersonal skills is needed
- Must be an active listener with the ability to build relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills is required
- Must have a working knowledge of computer software; We will train on our in-house system
- Previous staffing industry experience is preferred, but we will consider candidates with outside sales, service sales, or business development background
Base salary plus commission
Only candidates that can pass a background check will be considered. This company offers benefits upon permanent hire.
