JOB DESCRIPTION: The Install Technician is responsible working on a team for the on-time, high-quality installation of HVAC/R equipment, duct systems, fittings, grilles, registers, diffusers, controls, and related equipment.Key performance objectives are:
  • Must identify and solve problems that might impede the completion of work within budgeted time. He/she Provides feedback and suggestions to manager, estimators, salespeople, and others on ways to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate job information to proper personnel to allow for effective planning and execution of the project requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEquipment Installation
  • Follow applicable codes for all associated equipment
  • Follow defined installation procedures for HVAC/R equipment according to company instructions/policy, manufacturer installation instructions, and salesperson notes
  • Identify current and potential problems during the installation that might affect current or future performance
  • Identify and solve problems that might prevent the completion of work within budgeted time
  • Complete repairs, improvements, or installations within budgeted hours, in accordance with company standards, while maintaining quality
  • Start-up new equipment and verify correct operation
  • Clean equipment and work area. Leave a beautiful installation.
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction and/or project manager, salesperson or supervisor sign-off upon completion of work
  • Complete all paperwork required by management and record hours and all materials used including daily reports, AWA’s, and RFI’s. Collect for work performed if applicable.
  • Keep assigned vehicle organized and clean.
EDUCATION
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Graduated from an approved HVACR program or equivalent experience a plus.
  • Universal CFC certified a plus
  • Understanding of local and international codes a plus
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of 3 years install experience in the HVAC industry.
Wages: $20.00 - $40.00 an hour DOE, Benefits and Relocation Assistance.
