Program Assistant

1. Complete weekly planner from monthly calendar two weeks in advance indicating the diversity of activities.
2. Ensure proper inventory, orderly storage, ordering supplies through supervisor, and preparation of activity supplies.
3. Implement activities and keep participants engaged throughout activity time 8:30am-4:00pm.
4. Be familiar with adaptive devices.
5. Responsible for safety of participants by monitoring health needs, being aware of participant location, and escorting participants around the facility.
6. Attend required in-services, team meetings, and education sessions.
7. Assure that immediate area is straight and orderly throughout the day.
8. Complete activity section of PCTA form and SCL note.
9. Review the participant’s plan of care for understanding of issues with participants and their goals.
10. Assure that the participant’s rights as according to Kaleidoscope, Inc.’s policies are strictly enforced.
11. Provides individualized assistance with personal care of participants as needed.
12. Communicate with supervisor on updates, insights, suggestions and questions regarding programming and participants.
13. Be familiar with Kaleidoscope, Inc.’s policies as well as its mission statement and its meaning.

Personal Care Therapeutic Assistant

1. Assist with the arrival and departure of participants to and from the center.
2. Daily performance of each participant’s personal care needs.
3. Maintain participant optimum level of function with ADL’s.
4. Daily preparation of lunches and snacks with special attention made to the allergy list.
5. Willingness to make each day the best day ever for participants as well as co-workers.
6. Adhere to Kaleidoscope, Inc.’s personnel policy.
7. Identifies emergency situations and responds appropriately.
