  • Oversee the processing of utility invoices and verification of transactions to ensure accuracy and timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
  • Manage the utilities payable team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures to prevent errors and fraud in the accounts payable process.
  • Reconcile utility payable transactions with general ledger balances, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues to ensure accuracy in financial statements.
  • Prepare and analyze utility accounts payable reports and metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement in the payment process.
  • Coordinate with accounts payable department to ensure alignment in payable procedures.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party providers
  • Handle complex utility inquiries and disputes, including resolving billing errors and negotiating adjustments or refunds to ensure fair and accurate transactions
Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting Preferred

· 1-3 Years of experience in payables with emphasis in utilities

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

· Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders
