Role/Title: Finish Carpenter

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

As a Finish Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality custom millwork pieces for residential, commercial, and new construction projects. Your attention to detail, precision, and ability to work collaboratively with other carpenters and supervisors will be essential.

*NOTE: We are looking for carpenters that have experience specifically with the finished side.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  •  
  • Work Required on occasional Saturdays
  • OK with commuting.

Experience:

  • Construction: 4 years minimum (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Compensation:

  • Wages: Between $30-$40 per hour depending on experience.
  • Paid Holidays

Language:

  • English and Spanish(Preferred)

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate to Greater Los Angeles area before starting work (Required)

Willingness To Travel: 100% of job is traveling to job sites.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Custom Millwork Assembly and Installation:

  • Assemble and install custom millwork pieces according to architectural plans and specifications.
  • Can read plans and shop drawings/
  • Ensure precise fit, alignment, and finish for each project.

Experience and Expertise:

  • Minimum of 4 years of specific experience in finish carpentry.
  • Proficiency in working with high-end custom finish millwork materials.
  • Familiarity with various wood species, laminates, and veneers.

Material Preparation:

  • Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials based on specified measurements.
  • Utilize hand tools, machines, and power saws to achieve accurate results.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other carpenters, project managers, and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure seamless coordination during installations.

Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
  • Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality expectations.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site.
  • Follow industry standards and best practices.

Skills / Experience / Requirements:

· 4 years minimum of residential carpentry experience, rough and finish carpentry.

· Reliable transportation to and from work.

· Communications skills

· Ability to work with teams, take direction, and be open minded towards the best path forward.

· Ability to comprehend, articulate and demonstrate assigned work with accuracy and attention to detail.

· The ability to work inside homes that are occupied – respect, cleanliness, and awareness of one’s surroundings.

*Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and legs. They may occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
