Job Title: Truck Technician

Location: Chesapeake, Virginia

Salary: $35-$45 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday (No Weekends)

Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced truck mechanic to join our team. As a Truck Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of several makes and models of medium-duty and heavy-duty vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engines and vehicle systems and be able to perform a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks.

As a truck technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including PM services, clutch adjustments, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in trucks.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential problems.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete repairs efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Diesel Technician preferred.
  • Virginia State Inspectors license preferred.
  • Proven experience as a truck technician.
  • Strong knowledge of truck systems, engines, and components.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
