Volt is hiring a Project Engineer to work onsite in Pittston, PA in a Direct Hire opportunity.
The Project Engineer is responsible for developing the detailed specifications for the installation of telecommunications equipment in central office or customer premise locations. Duties will include interfacing with customer technical representatives, performing site surveys, writing detailed installation specifications, performing material and labor cost analysis, and providing technical and field engineering support. It is the primary point of contact for the customer as well as for operations, installation and project management personnel on technical matters on assigned projects.
This is a full-time, DIRECT HIRE opportunity.

Qualification/Requirements:

  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • 3 years project engineering experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry or related Central Office experience.
  • Must have some Centeral Office experience is needed.
  • Ability to understand and work to strict customer standards.
  • Ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
  • Acute sensitivity to customer needs and overall customer service.
  • Functional knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access.
  • Functional knowledge of basic computer aided design (CAD) drawing and editing software.



Salary: $70-80K annually *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
