The Quality Manager is responsible for driving customer satisfaction and process improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Some responsibilities Include:

  • Establishes weekly, monthly and annual objectives to ensure priorities are aligned with organization plans and priorities.
  • Responsible for ISO-based internal quality audits, external supplier audits, and customer requirement reviews to drive for process improvements across all departments.
  • Coordinates measuring equipment calibrations and maintains all calibration records in accordance with requirements.
  • Works with department managers/supervisors to ensure compliance and improvement to established quality system requirements and standards. Reviews new or revised Quality System documentation for acceptance
  • Ensures customer needs related to Quality System activities are met in accordance with the established requirements.
  • Develops a high-performance quality team, including teaching, coaching, counselling etc.
  • Maintains quality documentation system, collaborates with other members of management in the development of new products and engineering designs and manufacturing and training methods.
  • Ensures department and senior managers understand the operations process capability and the customer’s quality concerns/experience. Activities include collecting, analyzing, and communicating information and trends to senior management.
  • Works closely with operations and engineering with product and process validation activities.
  • Assists in Supplier Management System by qualifying and re-qualifying suppliers.
  • Ensure that all employees in the given location are trained on the quality policy.

Qualifications Include:

  • B.S. in Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or closely related field.
  • 5+ years of quality engineering and leadership experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent listening skills and conflict resolution skills.
  • Hands on experience and working knowledge of quality assurance in ISO, Lean, and/or Six Sigma regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to drive operational improvement through effective management systems such as CAPA and process validation.
  • History or driving results with a sense of urgency, good communications skills, and ability to manage details.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with colleagues, subordinates, superiors and customers.
  • Tech and computer savvy with hands-on skills in ERP and MS Of
