Office Manager/ HR Manager

Job Overview
The Office Manager/Human Resources Manager is a dual role involving full spectrum office management and human resources responsibilities. The role is responsible for all front office activities, coordinating IT activities, purchasing requests and management of the office. The human resources component of this position involves coordinating benefits, onboarding, and maintaining employee records. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as with a team. To be a successful hire, you will need to have prior experience in office administration as well as human resources and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Office Management
· Front desk/reception duties including answering the phone, greeting guests, coordinating deliveries, ordering office supplies, etc.
· Address employees’ queries regarding office management issues.
· Keep an inventory of office supplies, check for comparative prices and purchase items as needed.
· Oversee equipment upkeep and track tickets with technical support for troubleshooting.
· Perform general clerical duties including data entry, filing, organizing office records and files, and operating office equipment.
· Assist with the coordination of in-house or off-site activities, e.g., company events, celebrations, and conferences.
· Perform additional duties and assignments as necessary to ensure a smooth and efficient business process.
· Keep track of Business Licenses, Vehicle Registration and Vehicle Insurance.
Human Resources
· Assist in coordinating employee benefits and onboarding personnel.
· Filing of personnel records
· Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
· Creating the weekly labor force schedule
· Perform additional duties and assignments, as necessary.
Qualifications
· Two to five years combined human resources and office management experience.
· Solid understanding of federal and state employment regulations.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Spanish will be a strong plus.
· Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in high activity, dynamic environment with accuracy and diligence.
· Customer focus & deep interest in employee relations, able to interact with employees at all levels.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality of extremely sensitive information.
· Sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
· Good collaborator; approachable; initiative-taking and able to work without direct supervision.
· Proficient in use of MS Office applications.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Other Important Information
position operates on a Full-time basis. Standard 8-hour shift Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be required during peak periods or special projects.
Environment: The work environment may vary depending on the specific role but typically includes the jobsite, trailer, or office. It may involve exposure to moderate noise levels, temperature variations, or other conditions typical for construction industry standards.
Physical Demands: The job may require standing, sitting, walking, lifting, or carrying items weighing up to 50lbs pounds. Employees are expected to adhere to proper ergonomic practices to ensure their health and safety.
