ECI Site Construction Management is looking for a hardworking, dependable team player to join our team

No experience required. Must be punctual and have dependable transportation.

Our entry-level construction position will perform various tasks to aid daily operations. Must be capable of strenuous physical work in various weather conditions. Required to complete projects in a proper, efficient, and safe manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Equipment Operator or Superintendent in laying out work as needed. Organize and pickup materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Perform manual tasks such as, but not limited to, digging, shoveling, sweeping, lifting carrying and cleaning.
  • Basic labor tasks may include subgrade compaction, installation & maintenance of erosion control devices, installation of drainage, and temporary fencing.
  • Begin to learn the skill of reading and understanding blueprints.
  • Check all fluid levels and grease to assure that the equipment is at the required levels prior to operation of any piece of equipment.
  • Locate on site utilities before digging. Walk through the job site with the Equipment Operator.
  • Follow all safety protocols.

Skills:

  1. Basic knowledge of site construction, compaction techniques, and erosion control a plus.
  2. Operation of hand power tools.
  3. Operation of compaction equipment, jumping jack, remote compactors.
  4. Ability to read tape measure.
  5. Knowledge of construction safety practices.
  6. Knowledge of limitations of the various types of construction equipment.
  7. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  8. The ability to learn various physical tasks.

Communication:

  1. Ability to work with diverse personalities.
  2. Employs effective listening skills.
  3. Verbally communicates effectively.
  4. Willing to ask for clarification if something is unclear.
  5. Ability to carry out basic labor tasks correctly without direct supervision.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. All applicants undergo a pre-employment screening that includes a drug screen and background check. Pay starting at $20/hour depending on experience.
