GL Accountant

At Integrated Water Services (IWS), WE MAKE WATER BETTER  For over 20 years, we've been providing our customers with solutions to manage drinking and wastewater to protect people and the environment.  We serve clients ranging from real estate developers, governments, and food and beverage and industrial manufacturers.  

We are looking for a focused, smart, and industrious GL Accountant to join our growing team. As a GL Accountant, you will provide vital support to the Accounting Manager to help streamline the company's financial processes. Duties and Responsibilities

• Enter financial transactions into the ledger
• Maintain ledger, record, and document company financial transactions.
• Update vendor information.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data to complete accurate records and provide accounting support.
• Participate in accurate and timely month-end close preparation, extraction of data for upload to ledger, journal entries, review, and analysis.
• Review data to ensure that proper procedures are being followed and assist in the development of additional standard accounting procedures.
• Utilize database management systems to maintain up-to-date record keeping of financial documents.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting, business, finance, math, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3 years general accounting experience required
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software and tax preparation software such as Intuit QuickBooks. Sage300 Accounting, NetSuite preferred.
• Manufacturing and construction experience preferred.
• Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to company accounts.
• Able to complete work to deadlines with little direct supervision.
• Driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
• Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills

Work Location:  Our preference is for the Accountant to be in office or Hybrid (2-3 days per week).  We'll consider a remote working arrangement for the right candidate.

Base Salary: $70k-90k annually*  

*The provided base salary range is used nationally. The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
