Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper-Household Manager to manage and maintain a 2,500 square foot condo located in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of a household occupied by two professionals who occasionally work remotely. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, have a proactive approach to household management, and be comfortable performing light cleaning duties, as a deep cleaning service is scheduled 2-3 times per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Maintenance & Cleaning:

    • Manage and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the condo.

    • Perform light cleaning tasks, including making beds, changing bed linens, and loading/unloading the dishwasher.

  • Cooking:

    • Prepare simple,healthy meals a few times a week, ideally with multi-cuisine experience.

  • Household Management:

    • Oversee household organizational projects to maintain an orderly living space.

    • Accept deliveries and oversee repair and maintenance services as needed.

    • Pack and unpack for trips, ensuring all items are properly organized.

  • Laundry & Clothing Care:

    • Handle the family’s laundry, including separating items for dry cleaning and performing ironing/steaming tasks as needed.

  • Errands & Shopping:

    • Run occasional errands, including grocery shopping and picking up items from local stores.

    • Manage and stock household supplies to ensure the condo is always well-equipped.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a housekeeper, household manager, or in a similar role.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage household tasks efficiently and independently.

  • Cooking skills, with the ability to prepare a variety of meals.

  • Comfort with light cleaning and willingness to perform household chores.

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Reliable and trustworthy with a proactive approach to work.

  • Flexible work hours can be adjusted often

  • Occasional errands and tasks outside the home as required.

  • Parking is available during the day

Compensation: $36-45 per hour, based on experience and commitment
