Full Job Description

The Lead Teacher is responsible for assisting in the planning and organization of fun, engaging lessons in a safe and enriching learning environment. The Lead Teacher must be organized, energetic and able to communicate effectively with both students and staff. The right candidate will have direct involvement in oversight and maintenance of the classroom, as well as a strong educational background. A Lead Teacher should also possess good time management skills, patience and the ability to multitask effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Use effective methods to instruct students in a wide range of subjects.
  • Teach students using a variety of educational methods.
  • Analyze student progress and performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Create a loving and nurturing environment.
  • Boost student morale and inspire creativity.
  • Use educational technology effectively to help students learn.
  • Help create positive relationships among staff, students, parents, and the community.
  • Guide students to prepare for the future.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field.
  • As Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field.
  • A current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential.
  • Proof of current and active enrollment in a CDA Credentialing Program
  • Proof of current and active enrollment in an accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree program.in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Special education: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Teaching Certification (Preferred)

Work Location: One location
