Job DescriptionJob Description

The Accounts Payable Clerk position is responsible for the financial processing of transactions for the organization. This position is also responsible for daily bookkeeping and record keeping, financial reporting and preparation of tax records for financial audits.

           ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job, an individual must be able to perform the following:

  • Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs

  • Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors

  • Analyzing workflow processes

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors

  • Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures

  • Processing due invoices for payment

  • Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges

  • Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and

    reconciling books of accounts

  • Other duties may be assigned and subject to change in accordance with business needs

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to solve practical problems and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    High School Diploma or GED certificate; or two to five years related experience.

  • Always exhibits HV Randall Foods behavior dealing with management, peers, regulatory inspectors, and

    customers in a professional manner

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced computer skills, including strong Microsoft Office

  • Strong data entry skills

  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Position is Monday-Friday, AM hours. Must be available to work overtime.
