Custom Concrete is a leading residential foundations company. We are looking for hard-working, dedicated individuals to join our team as Construction Staking and Layout Crewmen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate field equipment, including conventional total stations and data collectors.
  • Provide front-end locations and stakeouts.
  • Support tasks of other department crews.
  • Use computers, tablets, smartphones, or similar devices.
  • Learn and use Custom Tracker, our project management system.
  • Perform geometric and mathematical calculations.
  • Read and interpret building print specifications.
  • Use Trimble robotic total stations to layout key foundation points.
  • Ensure proper calibration, security, and care of company equipment.
  • Conduct work safely, drive to job sites, and inspect them independently.
  • Report potential issues (e.g., low power lines, soft soil).
  • Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain project documents and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate revisions to crew members and ensure understanding.
  • Update progress with operations manager, home builders, and homeowners.
  • Monitor and check all work completed by crews for accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of geometric and mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to read and interpret building specifications.
  • Proficiency with computers and mobile devices.
  • Willingness to work independently and safely.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
