Work location is at a correctional facility & all patient care will be provided to inmates. Valid CNA license required. Orientation will be 1 week on a Monday-Friday schedule before starting regular assignment.

BONUS ALLOWANCE (offered)

 

40 hr week/ 8 hr shifts x 6 month assignment

Monday-Friday: 7:00am-3:30pm

 

Qualifications: Candidate must have 12 months continuous work experience (as CNA) or similar scope of patient care within last 3 years, valid California CNA license showing no adverse actions, BLS certification from American Heart Association

JOB DUTIES: may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Assist patient/youth with activities of daily living and provide nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse;

  2. Perform and document rounds of patient/youth receiving medical and/or psychiatric care and report changes in patient/youth condition to the RN;

  3. Obtain specimens for diagnostic testing;

  4. Assist other non-custody staff to provide patient/youth care;

  5. Prepare documentation for patient/youth transfers to other Institutions/Facilities or trips to specialty appointments;

  6. Complete all required documentation of patient/youth care, provide written or oral reports, and record entries in logbooks;

  7. Clean, maintain, and check equipment; and

  8. Check inventory, order and check supplies.
