What You'll Do:

  • Innovative Therapy Programs: Design, plan, and implement diverse experiential therapy sessions in areas like adventure-based activities, arts & crafts, music, dance, sports, and more.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with interdisciplinary staff to create a supportive and positive environment for patient care.
  • Leadership & Professionalism: Be a role model, demonstrating professionalism and a positive demeanor in all aspects of your role.
  • Patient Interaction: Establish therapeutic rapport, monitor behavior, and utilize intervention strategies to ensure patient safety and well-being.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Educational Background: BS/BA in art, music, dance, recreation, or related therapies required. 
  • Certifications: Preferably certified/registered through a relevant credentialing board.
  • Licenses: Valid driver's license in the state of employment. CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Specialized Training: Formal training in management of aggressive patients and ropes/challenge course training provided by Rogers Memorial Hospital.

Additional Requirements:

  • Certification: American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification required within 30 days of hire, with annual re-certification.
  • Experience: At least one year of educational or work experience required for Child/Adolescent Day Treatment programs.
