Job DescriptionJob Description

We're seeking an energetic individual with an eye for detail to perform the job of Laundry Attendant. Laundry Attendants are responsible for ensuring ample supply of washed, dried, and folded linens and towels for Room Attendant needs. Laundry Attendants must be able to scan linen quickly but completely for stains, fraying and tears and ensure that all linen used by the Room Attendants is free of stains, marks and is not torn or frayed. In addition, Laundry Attendants should proactively do whatever necessary, in accordance with Company policies and procedures, to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Inspect laundry for stains and wear. Treat stain and salvage or discard, as per supervisor’s instructions. Keep all discards for approval and recording.
  • Use washing machines correctly to manage costs while ensure linens are properly cleaned and dried.
  • Fold and store linens.
  • Clean laundry area and keep it fully supplied.
  • Notify Supervisor of any problems with equipment or linens.
  • Use all chemicals and equipment per manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Clean rooms as requested.
  • Follow emergency procedures, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), safety precautions and safest work habits.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to walk and stand during the entire shift.
  • Able to work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.
  • Continually reaches, bends, lifts, carries, stoops and wipes during the entire shift.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Able to use cleaning chemicals associated with the laundry process.
  • Able to work a varied schedule including holidays, weekends, and nights as the business dictates.
