Job Applicant Qualifications:

·        Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively

·        Ability to maintain an organized workspace

·        Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and ability to learn and utilize estimating software systems

·        Solid communication skills and the ability to cooperate with other employees

·        Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline preferred

·        Construction or other Estimating experience preferred

Job Responsibilities:

·        Utilize “On-Screen Takeoff” software to read and analyze construction drawings for accurate takeoff quantities

·        Assemble takeoff and pricing to prepare competitive estimates for both self-performed and subcontracted work

·        Solicit subcontractor bids for incorporation into both competitive and negotiated estimates

·        Identify items of risk and propose and review mitigation strategies with the project team

·        Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

·        Review subcontractor bids to ensure completeness and accuracy

·        Assist in the preconstruction process of negotiated projects from start to finish as appropriate to the applicant’s demonstrated skill

·        Perform other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by management to support The Law Company’s goals and objectives
