Ultrasonographer OB

The Ultrasonographer OB, Sr is a critical thinker who uses technical, leadership, educational, quality and regulatory knowledge to organize the activities for timely and high quality delivery of patient care during routine and complex exam completion. Performance of exceptional quality routine and specialized Ultrasound procedures at the request licensed independent practitioner for interpretation by radiologists. The Ultrasonographer OB, Sr integrates scientific knowledge; technical skills, patient interaction and compassionate care resulting in diagnostic information, and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. The Ultrasound Technologist prepares, administers and document activities related to mediations in accordance with state regulations and institution policy.  The Ultrasonographer OB, Sr must demonstrate a highly detailed understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. The Ultrasonographer OB, Sr  must think critically, use independent, professional and ethical judgment in all aspects of their work, and they must engage in continuing education to include their area of practice to enhance patient care, public education, knowledge and technical competence.  They are responsible for patient care, appropriate documentation, quality control, and quality improvement, and they provide training, education and mentoring to students, technologists, nursing, residents, fellows, staff and others.  They must remain sensitive to the needs of the patient through good communication, and exceptional patient care skills.  As members of the health care team, they must participate in quality improvement processes and continually assess their professional performance.   Maintains a safe and hazard free environment

Required- Graduate of a formal diagnostic Radiology program
Required- BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support via American Heart Association
"Required- 6 years    Radiology experience (any/all modalities)"
Required to have one of the below certifications:
RDMS-AB - RDMS in Abdomen
RDMS-BR - RDMS in Breast Specialty
RDMS-FE - RDMS in Fetal Echocardiography
RDMS-OB - Reg Diag Med Sonographer OBGYN
RDMS-PS - RDMS in Pedi Sonography
"**A Bachelor’s degree in any radiology or healthcare field of study may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
A Master’s degree in any radiology or healthcare field of study may substitute for two (2) years of the required experience.**"

•    Min. 2 years’ experience in OBGYN setting
•    Ability to work in fast-paced clinic setting
