Experienced Medical Assistant needed for a busy interventional pain management practice. We are looking for an individual with excellent communications skills who is interested in associating with our already well-established practice in Las Vegas . The job duties include, but are not limited to: answering phones, scheduling, appointments stock and inventory supplies; prepare / clean / sterilize rooms and equipment; interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height; show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician; record patients' medical history, vital statistics and information such as test results in medical records; explain treatment procedures, and physicians' instructions to patients; interact with insurance companies, medical staff, providers and patients.
Candidates must have a valid Medical Assistant Certificate with a minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar setting, current CPR certification and completed HIPPA training, demonstrates excellent assessment and observational skills, has full command of the English language, both verbal and written, be self-managed, organized, self-starting, multi-tasking, articulate and efficient. Experience with prior authorizations. Bilingual Spanish/English highly preferred. In addition to good computer skills and experience with difficult and challenging patient load, the ideal contestant will get along with multiple personality types. Applicants must be comfortable functioning and thriving in a fast-paced environment and is open to working overtime.
