Qualifications

  • Audiovisual Project Managers must have current experience in AV technology, technical event planning, budget management and show actualization. Minimum of 3 years of experience in comparable role(s). Trade show, technical school, or post High School training in an appropriate field may be substituted in part for the experience requirement above

  • Strong organizational skills, time management and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects, workflows, and competing priorities. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism in pressure situations.

  • Proven ability to quickly identify and troubleshoot problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with diverse personalities and varying levels of production knowledge/experience.

  • Depending on the project, you may be working by yourself or leading a team, meaning the applicant must be able to communicate, facilitate and lead. This requires demonstrated ability to guide, inspire, and work constructively with colleagues in a creative, collaborative, and dynamic project environment

  • Working knowledge of common computer productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office and Google online software. 

  • Must maintain a professional appearance, clean driving record, valid driver’s license and a physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position. 

 

Responsibilities

  • The Audiovisual Project Manager is responsible for a positive client experience through the successful actualization of a live event.  This includes direct interaction with company clients to guide them through a technical design and quoting process, including but not limited to meeting with clients, performing site surveys, preparing quotes, gathering content, and developing production schedules. This will require maintaining an organized production process for multiple events simultaneously.

  • Internally, the Audiovisual Production Manager is responsible for collaboration with multiple team members to make sure the scope and direction of each project is properly documented, properly geared and fully scheduled. This includes the coordination of subrentals, outside vendors and other production resources. 

  • This position may require direct presence on event sites which may include travel.

  • Other responsibilities include weekly reporting and management meetings, promoting efficiencies in workflows, and staying abreast of developing technologies.
