Job DescriptionJob Description

The Cancer Registrar II competently analyzes electronic medical records and extracts clinical, pathological, therapeutic, and epidemiologic data in accordance with established oncology data collection practices and standards. The role requires working independently, exercising sound judgment, and developing skills to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. The Cancer Registrar II gains confidence and cooperation from patients, their family/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent and effective communication. Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. These principal accountabilities, requirements, and qualifications are not exhaustive but are descriptive of the current job.
