We are seeking an energetic and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team You will be working with another teacher in leading a class of students through the school year, assessing their current academic level, and designing instruction to meet students’ collective and individual needs.
You are passionate about learning and helping students reach their potential. With strong creative and problem-solving skills, you love connecting with individual students and creating an engaging classroom environment. Our school is play- based and focused on each child supported and encouraged to grow and learn.
Responsibilities
- Create and follow a comprehensive curriculum
- Teach beginning reading and math skills
- Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
- Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques
- Communicate with parents and other school personnel
- Prepare engaging lesson plans
- Keep the classroom tidy
- Assess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones
- ECE units required by California State Licensing
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
- Good attitude and flexible working style
