Responsibilities

  • Review Contractor bids , compare, vet, and award for construction with Project Director / Manager

  • Support in the management of Contractor and Brand Vendor relationships

  • Manage and track project costs in order to stay within budget

  • Driving construction schedule, milestones, deliverables and activities

  • Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines

  • Confirm contractor work is done

  • Update project management platform on daily basis for relevant stakeholders or team members Create and maintain project files for drawings, bids, field revisions, change order log, etc. as it pertains to each specific project

  • Develop bidders list based on project location, verify project timeline against most current approved schedule, compile & verify bid documents prior to issuance

  • Facilitate issuance of bids, gathering of bid submittals, compile bid comparison,

  • Participate in leveling and vetting bids and negotiating final agreed upon contract cost and terms.

  • Issuance of Notice of Award,

  • Track General Contractor mobilization and milestone adherenceand participate in all weekly project Conference Calls/Meetings

  • Collect and review weekly project progress reports including picture documentation while tracking progress against project schedules.

  • Review Change Orders on all prime contractors,any applicable subcontractors, or vendors and manage all costs within budget.

  • Responsible for Database & File Management to adhere to company standards & protocol for project information tracking

Qualifications

  • Administratively strong and able to mulit-task.

  • Very Detailed Oriented and diligently driving for answers and results

  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture

  • 3-5 years experience in construction or engineering administration

  • Customer service focused yet not afraid to push back on contractors

  • Ability to problem solve and offer solutions (in field)

  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office, Google Suite, project management software, and relevant construction-related tools

  • Experience with Notion software is a plus

  • Retail Construction Experience a plus

  • Understanding construction processes such as review and approval of change orders and ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs

  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles

  • Degree of familiarity with contract documents, terms, and conditions

  • Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings

  • Primarily an office position but able and willing to travel to job site locations throughout the US and Canada (travel up to 15 % as necessary)

  • Salary to commensurate with experience
