The Client Care Specialist’s goal is to help the practice team provide the gold standard in client and patient care and to improve efficiency and team effectiveness by constantly working to improve his or her personal level of competency and the practice’s efficiency. CSRs are responsible for promptly greeting clients in a kind, welcoming, professional manner and delivering unsurpassed customer service. This entails properly answering, triaging, and handling phone calls, addressing client’s questions and needs, while providing a constant welcoming environment. Client Care Specialists are to manage and ensure all communication runs smoothly and effectively across all communication channels including email, social media, in-person and through telephone. CSRs should be professional, reliable, honest, civil, cheerful,and enthusiastic; have a strong work ethic; and have a high level of empathy for suffering pets and people. Any person(s) working in this position will play an essential role in upholding the mission of the practice, as described in the following. Major Goals:

  • To be efficient, pleasant, courteous, caring, and helpful to all clients and coworkers under all conditions and at all times
  • To provide the best service to all clientele
  • To support the overall mission of the practice to provide advanced quality and individualized veterinary care for pets and empathetic, compassionate care to their owners while understanding and representing the needs of the team and the practice.

Qualifications:Must be able to work independently on projects in a team environment. The candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills, understand basic telephone etiquette, and work in an organized manner. Attention to detail is required. The candidate must have basic mathematical skills and handle currency correctly: making change, entering payments into the computer, and finalizing end-of-day procedures. The candidate must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in client care situations. Understanding and use of the computer and other electronic equipment are essential. 

The practice may be noisy at times. You will be required to be able to lift up to forty pounds independently. There are hazardous chemicals present within the facility, and radiographic equipment is used on premise. You will be required to sit, stand, and move about frequently.
