ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Spearhead the business development and sales effort to generate new clients and nurture relationships that inspire company growth and drive revenue.
  • Proactively generate and convert new leads for business development.
  • Act as the primary Point-of-Contact for new accounts.
  • Oversee the overall sales pipeline and all reporting.
  • Represent the company by traveling to relevant conferences and networking opportunities.
  • Source RFPs for new business opportunities.

INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE

Event Experience

  • At least 2 years experience in Events Sales/Accounts is required
  • Knowledge of event technology a bonus

Sales Experience

  • Understanding of sales with an accounts relation perspective is crucial to success
  • Managing an active sales pipeline including weekly and daily reporting using platform tools
  • Comfortable being the primary point of contact for all transaction stages

FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE

Physical Presence

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Client-facing and professional appearance at all times, including remote calls and or meetings.
  • Able to travel within the continental US and Canada

Online Presence

  • Equipped for professional zoom meetings (EG office, or virtual background, good lighting and microphone)
  • Comfortable using online communication tools (slack, google chat, text message, comment tools, etc)

Client Relation Platform Proficiency

  • HubSpot - CRM
  • LinkedIn/Sales Navigator - Lead Generation
  • PowerPoint/Slides - preparing pitch decks
  • Google Sheets/Excel - internal and external budgets for RFPs
