The Material Handler will be responsible for managing, moving, and tracking materials throughout the production process to ensure efficient and continuous workflow. This role is critical in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring that all materials are available, stored, and handled in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Handling: Safely move, load, and unload raw materials, components, and finished products within the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, perform regular cycle counts, and report any discrepancies to the Inventory Control Supervisor.

  • Production Support: Supply materials to production lines based on daily production schedules, ensuring that all required materials are available to meet production targets.

  • Quality Assurance: Inspect materials for defects, damage, or contamination prior to delivery to production areas, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

  • Documentation: Accurately record material movements, inventory adjustments, and other relevant data in the company’s inventory management system.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the safe operation of material handling equipment.

  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that materials are properly stored and accessible.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or powder metallurgy environment.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to [weight] lbs.) regularly, and to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
