Strategic Analysis, Inc. (SA) is seeking a versatile, and highly reliable, Security Coordinator to support the Defense Science Board (DSB). The DSB is comprised of former senior military and government officials, as well as industry and academia leaders that provide independent advice to the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (USD(R&E) and senior Defense Department (DoD) leadership on modern science and technology (S&T) challenges. The Security Coordinator will provide security services for all DSB formal and informal meetings and interactions as required by DSB government staff.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with OUSD(R&E) security to support security clearance processing for all DSB Members, special government employees (SGEs), and staff, and determine security requirements for meetings in coordination with DSB government leadership.
- Request clearances for attendees at DSB meetings and interactions and ensure clearances are on hand prior to conduct of the meetings.
- Assist government staff in validating “need to know” of all attendees for DSB meetings and interactions.
- Maintain and safeguard all relevant security clearance information and enforce facility security requirements for meetings.
- Ensure meeting facilities properly support the classification levels of briefings to be received and discussion that may follow.
- Coordinate sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) operations.
- Work with stakeholders to coordinate security protocols for offsite activities.
- Maintain the office Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to include:
- Coordinate and continuously maintain no-escort rosters for DSB membership.
- Coordinate requests for badges and CACs with the Security Office.
- Coordinate requests for courier cards with OUSD(R&E) security.
- Coordinate requests for NIPR, SIPR and JWICS accounts.
- Support special access program (SAP) administrative management functions.
- Support secure video teleconferencing needs of the office to include scheduling sessions in government facilities and interfacing with stakeholders to facilitate member needs.
- Attend security training as required.
- As time allows, provide additional support to the DSB may be required, such as:
o Provide analytical and administrative support to the DSB Summer Study and Quick Task Forces.
o Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate actions pre- and post-meetings for government personnel and in support of DSB Task Forces and Studies.
o Provide surge support to DSB travel and membership responsibilities.
o Provide logistics and management support to DSB members and government staff.
Requirements:
• U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge regarding requirements for generating, handling, and protecting classified material.
• Ability to work onsite in the Pentagon/Mark Center two (2) days a week, plus ability to work onsite at SA HQ, as needed, for DSB meetings or other preparatory support.
• Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance priorities across multiple tasks.
• Strong team player that actively contributes to group activities and consistently displays work habits conducive to the success of the unit/team to better achieve organizational missions.
Strong judgement and ability to reach sound conclusions.
• Ability to support DSB Office administrative functions, as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint applications, as well as MS Teams and similar collaboration and video teleconferencing capabilities, such as ZoomGov.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Extensive knowledge of Defense Information Security System (DISS).
• Experience supporting special access programs preferred.
