Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for an experienced Presentation Design Specialist who can support our rapidly growing Presentation Design team on a contract basis.

  • Please include examples of presentation design work with your portfolio. [required to be considered]

The ideal candidate should possess the following capabilities:

  • Convert complex ideas and/or bulleted lists of information to visuals that convey key messages in an organized, understandable and memorable way
  • Strong conceptual thinking, data visualization and typography skills are required
    • Knowledge of fonts, colors and color theory, typesetting, vector/ raster images, image file formats, image resolutions, etc.
  • Quickly learn and apply an established look and feel based on corporate style guide
  • Create a cohesive visual thread through a presentation while being attentive to consistent formatting and content details (color, font, alignment, pixel-perfect positioning)
  • Design and create PPT templates with a solid understanding of PPT Master layouts
  • Create graphs in PPT from a data set, often involving complex datasheets or sources, or existing graphs and tables
  • Be able to take direction and work both independently and with a team within tight deadlines
  • Learn new technology and techniques quickly
  • Bring a creative spark and enthusiasm

Requirements: Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent
  • Portfolio of work including native PPT files for review (prefer to review a template created by applicant)
  • 3+ years working experience with and expert knowledge of PowerPoint as a design tool
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Intermediate experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Secure PC workstation, or Mac with Parallels

Additional Qualifications

  • User interface design and medical illustration are a plus
  • Experience with infographic design a plus
  • Good proofreading and editing skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with medical/pharma is a plus
