As the Assembly Supervisor, you will report to the Assembly Manager and play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating assembly and sub-assembly operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient execution of work based on schedules, customer orders, technical drawings, and verbal instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership: Hire, train, evaluate, and manage assembly team members. Provide guidance, motivation, and corrective action as needed. Handle employee disciplinary actions and terminations when necessary.
• Operational Oversight: Plan and manage the setup of Assembly Stations/Cells, including the use of light machinery and small presses. Analyze workload and delivery requirements, and allocate workforce effectively.
• Schedule Management: Update and monitor schedules to track job progress and parts delivery. Address material and parts shortages in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Quality Control: Process returned switches, complete necessary paperwork, and work with Quality Control to resolve issues. Ensure adherence to performance standards and safety regulations.
• Department Coordination: Collaborate with Engineering to address shop packet or print corrections. Work with the Materials Department to schedule jobs and manage departmental expenses in alignment with the budget.
• Administrative Duties: Approve daily attendance reports and maintain good personnel relations. Execute the strategic plan in collaboration with the department Manager.
• Secondary Tasks: Screen parts for transport to work cells to streamline workflow and address BOM discrepancies with Engineering.
Desirable Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of assembly or shop experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and utilize hand tools, measuring devices, small presses, and other light machinery.

Physical Demands:
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs.
Work Environment:
• A mix of manufacturing and office settings.
Regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and odors
