Job Title: Production Planner

Job Summary: Support the production operations by planning, preparing, and adjusting production schedules to minimize losses, create efficiencies, and meet customer service demands. This position will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Production Team, reporting directly to the Plant Manager or CFO. This position is responsible for utilizing the Brokers Plus ERP System by planning information to develop, communicate, and monitor daily/weekly schedules at all levels of manufacturing. This position is responsible for ensuring a balance between inventory safety stock at each level of the manufacturing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Lead, plan, and control all scheduling activities by balancing production and inventory levels with demand to support consistent customer service levels, inventory tum goals, and capacity utilization/staffing requirements.

• Communicate confirmed schedules to the production team in a timely and efficient manner.

• Ensure that the Master schedule is current and aligns with current volumes and product inventory.

• Maintain a 3-day look ahead schedule and limit expedited orders.

• Expedites operations that delay and lead schedules to meet unforeseen, conditions.

• Learns and leverages all aspects of ERP to manage the supply chain and operational activities.

• Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for production planning.

• Provide Financial and key performance information for Management purposes, as required by the business.

• Review raw material availability issues with Inventory Control to minimize production disruptions due to raw material shortages.

• Optimizes enabled capacity utilization by minimizing production changeovers and equipment cleanings through order sequencing while ensuring adherence to food safety restrictions.

• Work with customers on order entry, create work orders, BOL, and releases to ensure orders are entered, production is completed, and production is shipped out.

• Work with the sales team to provide timelines and production reports

• Ensures all work orders clearly define scopes of work, durations, and all packaging materials.

• Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully:

• BA/BS Degree
• 5 years of Production Planning experience
• Experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency measurements.
• Excellent customer service
• Proficient in scheduling software, Project, Excel, Word, and ERP systems
• 3+ years in Food Production or Manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years in Production Planning.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
