Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and professional Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will transport a variety of goods and materials from one location to another. You will ensure adherence to pick up and delivery schedules and perform routine vehicle inspections.. The ideal candidate has an old school way of thinking and is able to be a problem solver.  We have a variety of work, from containers and flatbeds to steer car loads  We would like 2 years' experience driving truck however, we will consider candidates with less time behind the wheel.  We are a smaller family style company that is looking for someone that is a good fit  
Responsibilities 
  • Pick up materials and goods in one location and transport to another location. 
  • Perform routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Plan the safest and most efficient routes of travel.
  • Adhere to delivery schedules.
  • Maintain detailed driving log, including work periods and rest periods on an ELD
  • Comply with all company policies and FMCSA driving laws 
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Truck Driver is preferred
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
  • Twic Card is required
  • Seattle/Tacoma port knowledge
  • Flatbed, step deck, stretch trailer, double drop, port, and chassis container experience.
  • Flexibility to haul a variety of different loads and trailers.
  • Familiarity with GPS systems or able to read maps, use of CB radios or cell phones.
  • Understanding of all relevant truck driving laws and regulations
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and drive long distances.
  • ready to work
