OVERVIEW/PURPOSE:

AZ Care Transport LLC is one of the foremost transportation services in the Phoenix area.  We are committed to getting our passengers to their medical appointments safely and on time.  We also transport to adult recreation, foster care visitation, pharmacy order pick-ups, and more.  Our drivers are 5-panel drug tested and background checked, CPR and First-aid certified, and each of our vehicles has tracking and safety features.  We are also certified to transport Medicare and Medicaid patients.

The Dispatcher is responsible for assigning trips to drivers and providing logistical assistance as needed in order to ensure each trip is completed timely, efficiently, and with the highest degree of customer service.

Hiring a full-time position with a schedule that may include some weekends, early morning or evening hours.

 

Essential Functions:

·        Regularly communicates with drivers to ensure that all assigned trips are handled professionally, timely and that any schedule changes or special requirements are clear. 

·        Coordinates, collects, reviews, and approve data prior to submitting reports to billing or accounting.

·        Provides on phone customer service assistance including estimates, booking trips, and answering basic informational questions.

·        Becomes an expert at using all dispatch software used by the company to book trips and tours.

·        Checks queues and coordinates trips with drivers to ensure realistic travel times.

·        Provides assistance to drivers such as moving trips, contacting medical providers or passengers or agencies for clarification or more information regarding trip.

·        Ensure all trips are efficiently routed in all service areas utilizing the fastest routes available optimizing driver’s time.

·        Ensures all data in the dispatching software system is complete and accurate to ensure On-Time Performance (OTP) as well as the data collection for driver’s payroll.

·        Communicates issues as they arrive through the appropriate channels.

·        Maintains trip notes for early, late trips, incidents and/or accidents, explaining what happened and documents issues in the trip ticket on a daily basis.

·        Processes all payments including invoicing, credit card billing, and reconciliation.

·        Works to understand fleet limitations while assigning vehicles based on the passenger’s needs.

·        Assists with complaint investigation/resolution to include printing driver manifests, completed paperwork, and maintaining notes on conversations provided by driver.

·        Comfortable enough to be proactive and look for ways to streamline or improve the operation.

·        Acts as a marketing representative of the company.

Requirements

Required Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED.

Prior NEMT dispatch experience preferred.

Completion of a driver training program (AZ Care Transport provides this training).

Completion of First Aid and CPR Training (AZ Care Transport provides this training).

Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Must be able to pass a drug test.
