Senior Accountant Job Description:

· Preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information

· Preparing various fuel journal entries

· Maintaining and reconciling fuel inventory schedules, fixed asset schedules, and lease accounting schedules, and other accounts as requested

· Supporting month-end and year-end close

· Sub-ledger to general ledger account reconciliations

· Preparing and reconciling intercompany accounts

· Preparing financial analyses and reports

· Reviewing staff accountant entries

· Assisting with special projects as requested

Senior Accountant Qualifications / Skills:

· Strong financial analysis skills

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

· Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, particularly with excel

· Ability to train and manage staff

· Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees

· Deadline-oriented

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

· 3-7 years’ experience in accounting/finance

· CPA preferred (not required)

· Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas

· Experience with financial reporting requirements
