- Test, repair, maintain, and modify existing and new equipment, including electronic, vacuum, mechanical, and chemical apparatus.
- May design, select, build, and program control equipment for specific project requirements or process improvements either independently or in collaboration with Engineering or third-party contractors.
- Knowledge of the mechanical and electrical operation of equipment such as pumps, boilers, heaters, and other plumbing components
- Strong knowledge in consensus codes such as NEC500, NFPA70 and proficient at applying this to evaluate current systems or proposed new designs.
- Adjust and/or calibrate components, production equipment, and control systems to improve overall efficiency and record all changes and their effect. Proficient with calibration tools such as process multimeters, calibrated gages and vendor supplied calibration software.
- Able to use electrical schematic drawings for PLC’s and power distribution for troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning.
- Ability to record and/or log equipment operational status.
- Ability to identify and resolve system malfunctions and operational problems.
- Ability to utilize, test, maintain and modify a range of engineering equipment and apparatus.
- Ability to build and evaluate engineering and/or scientific systems and components.
- A working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70 codes for general facility wiring.
