Summary:

This role involves designing, selecting components, installing, and maintaining production instrumentation, electrical wiring, production control equipment, and related auxiliary systems with minimal supervision. The individual will support Engineering and Operations in designing, building, testing, and troubleshooting production equipment and manufacturing systems, as well as repair and modify production equipment at the component level. Responsibilities include specifying and ordering spare parts, analyzing and troubleshooting complex electrical and control systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental policies.


Responsibilities:

  • Test, repair, maintain, and modify existing and new equipment, including electronic, vacuum, mechanical, and chemical apparatus.
  • Develop prototypes for project requirements and/or process improvements.
  • Attend Engineering meetings for updates, priority list, and future equipment planning/installations.


Qualifications and Technical Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED; at least 10 years of experience directly related to the specified duties and responsibilities.
  • Proficient in analyzing and troubleshooting complex electrical and control systems such as ATS, PLCs, Communication Networks, Motor Starters, VFDs, and various electromechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of consensus codes such as NEC500, NFPA70, and the ability to apply them to evaluate current systems or proposed new designs.
