Job DescriptionJob Description

HammerHead Recruitment, a distinguished leader in staffing for the Design, Development, and Construction industries, is currently seeking a Lead Architect on behalf of a prestigious architectural firm that is at the forefront of defining South Florida's skyline with its landmark projects, each in the multimillion-dollar range. This position is a call for a visionary leader, someone who can match the principal's level of innovation and dedication, driving forward-thinking and sustainable designs. If you are an individual with a Master's degree in Architecture, hold professional licensure, and possess an in-depth expertise in architectural design, project management, and a solid grasp of Florida's building codes and regulations, particularly within the multifamily sector, this role is designed for you.

Position Overview:

The Lead Architect will champion the architectural direction for some of South Florida's most iconic developments from their inception to their completion. This critical role is tailored for an individual with a Master's degree in Architecture, mandatory professional licensure, and a deep understanding of architectural principles. Coupled with a strategic mindset for project management and a comprehensive knowledge of Florida's regulatory environment, your objective will be to meld innovative design with functional pragmatism, ensuring that projects not only meet but exceed the highest standards in design, compliance, and sustainability.

Core Responsibilities:

Visionary Leadership: Steer the conceptual and strategic direction for major architectural endeavors, ensuring they resonate with client aspirations and uphold the firm's prestigious standards. Mentor and inspire a team of architects and designers towards achieving architectural excellence and innovation.

Regulatory Mastery: Demonstrate an unmatched command of Florida's building codes, zoning laws, and regulatory requirements to ensure all projects comply and secure the necessary approvals. Excel in navigating complex permitting processes across various jurisdictions, ensuring smooth project progression.

Design Excellence: Oversee the architectural design process from start to finish, ensuring designs are innovative yet practical, meet client specifications, budgetary constraints, and sustainability targets. Lead the schematic design and production stages, maintaining a keen eye for technical precision and aesthetic quality.

Collaborative Synergy: Act as the central liaison among clients, design teams, and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Address challenges with strategic problem-solving and skilled negotiation to maintain project momentum.

Project Stewardship: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and effectively. Uphold the highest standards of design and execution through rigorous quality control and continuous improvement measures.

Innovative Solutions: Employ advanced architectural software and methodologies to enhance design visualization, project management, and team collaboration. Stay ahead of industry trends and technological advancements to spearhead innovative architectural solutions.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Architecture, with professional licensure as an architect required.
A minimum of 20 years of experience in the multifamily sector, demonstrating comprehensive expertise in architectural design, project management, and a history of leading significant, high-value projects.
Expertise in Florida's building codes, zoning regulations, and approval processes.
A portfolio demonstrating exceptional design leadership and a proven track record in delivering landmark projects.
Proficiency in architectural software (CAD, BIM) and project management tools.
Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with a talent for managing diverse teams and complex stakeholder relationships.
What We Offer:

This role presents a unique opportunity to join a firm that is not just constructing buildings but is crafting the iconic projects that are defining South Florida's architectural legacy. The selected candidate will enjoy a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and a dynamic work environment where contributions are valued and professional growth is encouraged.

Application Encouragement:

We are on the lookout for a leader prepared to face the challenges of shaping South Florida's architectural future. If you are driven by innovative design, thrive in collaborative settings, and are eager to tackle the challenges associated with high-stakes projects, we invite you to apply.

Embrace this role with the determination to make a significant impact, and join us in shaping the architectural narrative of Florida. Apply now to be at the forefront of design and innovation within a team that values architectural excellence and visionary leadership.
