Job Description

LST is seeking an experienced a Technical Lead for Systems Engineering and Project Management initiatives. The ideal candidate will provide support for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Enterprise Programs, Infrastructure, and Communications Services (EPICS) Support Task Order.

Responsibilities

  • The resource will support development of the vision for CSS-FD including functional capabilities and approaches towards integration with FAA systems. Resource must provide senior level technical leadership for the CSS-FD team.
  • Facilitate meetings, lead engineering discussions, leading collaboration with stakeholders, facilitating cross SWIM alignment, and ensuring CSS-FD is in alignment with FAA enterprise visions and strategies.
  • Support the development and management of technical investment analysis activities, including market survey, Screening Information Request (SIR) documents, cost analysis, benefits analysis, risk analysis, economic analysis, requirements definition, schedule development, and trade-off studies.
  • Organizes, directs, and coordinates the technical team execution of all task support activities. Reviews and at times support AMS documentation development, coordinates schedule and related activities. Prepares activity and progress reports regarding project status.
  • Support the implementation of tools to best track the work, mitigate risks, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure deliverables are on schedule which will then help eliminate schedule lags.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or related fields.

Required Experience:

  • Candidate required to have experience with the FAA's AMS Lifecycle to better engage with stakeholders, the work, and milestones that SWIM has upcoming.
  • Experience leading a development and engineering contract with the FAA to modernize the collection and delivery of aeronautical information to aviation users.
  • Must have at least 11-15 years of experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent project or program management certification is preferred.

Work Requirements:

  • Work location: Remote, Contractor site, Remote Work Acceptable
  • Work Hours: 40 (FTE)
  • Travel: 0 - 20%
  • Physical requirements:
    • Extended Computer Use: Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal.
    • Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting of equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required during installations or maintenance.
    • Mobility: Ability to move around the office environment to access computer hardware, networking equipment, and server rooms.
    • Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks requiring precision.
    • Sitting/Standing: Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.
  • Background check: Must be able to pass government public trust investigation.

Compensation (Pay Bands)

Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.

The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40 hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of LSTs total compensation package for employees. ** In compliance with local laws, LS Technologies presents this reasonable compensation range as a guideline for roles in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington D.C."
