Job DescriptionJob Description

To produce quality parts, on time, the first time to meet or exceed our customer requirements, while supporting the Magna Employee’s Charter and the policies and procedures of Kamtek.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:

  1. Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies.

  2. Follow and comply with all operational/procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs

  3. Follows and supports and Magna’s operating principles, including:

    1. Magna Employee Charter – Operating under its principles by treating all team members equally, fairly and with dignity and respect.

    2. Abide by Kamtek policies and procedures as described in the most current version of the Employee Handbook.

    3. Open Door Policy – Solves issues with two-way, open and friendly communication.

    4. 5S – Maintains and promotes good housekeeping by following the philosophy “Everything has a place. Everything in its place”.

    5. Safety First - Obey the plant’s safety rules and procedures by wearing PPE at all times and immediately addressing all safety concerns.  Promotes an environment where zero injuries are the expected standard.

    6. Promote MAFACT benchmarks to achieve World Class Manufacturing.

    7. Core values – Treat all team members equally, fairly, with dignity and respect without favoritism in accordance with company values.

    8. Attend and participate in Team, Department, Plant-wide and any other meetings as required.

    9. Conduct all activities in a professional manner and positive attitude with an emphasis on personal responsibility.

  4. Establish and maintain communication with other team members and support departments.

  5. Follow Standard Operating Procedures established for each work station.

  6. Maintain integrity of quality to ensure finished product meets or exceeds Kamtek standards.

  7. Maintain proper documentation of production and inventory using our CMS system.

  8. Must be able to work unsupervised.

  9. Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes.

  10. Monitor and maintain good housekeeping (maximize downtime opportunities).  

  11. Follow all plant safety policies and procedures.

  12. TLCQQ – Tagging Correct, Loaded Properly, Closed Properly, Quantity Correct, Quality Parts.

  13. Must be a team player willing to work on any job or area in which you are trained or being trained.

  14. Perform quality checks as required using QID, QIF, FO/LO Process, and Quality alerts as your guide.

  15. Perform the required tasks at the current cycle time on each work station to help ensure assembly meets our customer demands.

  16. Perform tip changes and TPM activities as required for each work station.

  17. Perform other duties as required.
