Savin Engineers, P.C. is a well-established, mid-size engineering firm headquartered in Westchester County, NY with MEP Office in Bridgewater, NJ.

The MEP division in NJ is a traditional Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) design division that also offers a full line of Energy Engineering services.

We are seeking qualified Electrical Engineers to support our MEP division. The ideal candidate will be tasked with the following:

  • Work closely with various project design teams and customers to provide Electrical system and equipment design services including the following:
    • Low voltage utility service entrance and power distribution equipment selection and design
    • Lighting design includes fixture selection, point calculations, and controls.
    • Provide motor control circuit design.
    • Perform circuit ampacity, wire sizing and conduit fill calculations.
    • Perform short circuit, loading and voltage drop calculations.
    • Fire alarm system design.
    • Experience with NYC Electrical, Building and Fire Codes
  • Maintain detailed Engineering design files.
  • Develop and draft basis of design reports.
  • Provide the technical, communication and leadership skills necessary to effectively coordinate with the design team and client.
  • Prepare Contract Bid Documents including detailed Specifications and Drawings

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or closely related Engineering Degree (required)
  • Possess or be in pursuit of Professional Engineering licensure.
  • 5-10 years electrical design experience with Electrical systems and equipment as noted above at educational, municipal, and industrial facilities.
  • Experience with electrical system modeling performance software such as SKM or ETAP is a plus.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills and must be driven toward superior customer service.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
