The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide essential care and support to clients in their homes. The CNA will assist with daily living activities, monitor client health, and ensure a safe and comfortable living environment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and able to work independently in a home care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide mobility assistance, including transferring, positioning, and helping clients walk.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring clients receive proper nutrition.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with medication reminders and administration as directed.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, and social activities.
- Report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to the care coordinator or supervising nurse.
- Follow individualized care plans and document services provided accurately.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Previous experience in home care or related healthcare field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient care practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification is desirable.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in clients' homes, requiring travel to different locations.
