SUMMARY OF ROLE:
VBA is hiring a Superintendent to join our team and be a part of our exciting growth We’re looking for a Super with
experience overseeing commercial construction projects ideally within a small to medium sized firm. The Super is
responsible for coordinating the field activities of a project and oversees safety, cost, schedule, document control, and quality standards, Projects at VBA are a collaborative effort between all team members, and the Superintendent is empowered to control the field portion of the project while working closely with Project Management and Project Administration.

SUPERINTENDENT DESCRIPTION:

  • Follow and enforce safety policies to ensure that safety remains a top priority through running safety meetings, completing Job Hazard analyses, and maintaining a clean job site.
  • Complete all administrative tasks as timely and efficiently as possible, including Daily Logs, Daily Inspections, Weekly Site Safety Inspections, etc.
  • Use Procore on a daily basis to communicate with Project team through photos, RFIs, submittals, drawings, etc.
  • Stay on project schedule by completing Two Week Look-Ahead with Project Manager and keeping the project team informed of project status.
  • Create a smooth closeout process by managing and completing punchlist items, acquiring final signoffs, and completing project retrospects.

REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:
● Minimum 5 years of experience in construction industry
● Ability to manage multiple smaller projects or single project ranging between $500K-$5M.
● Experience working with and leading teams
● Travel required, with on-site visits to job sites on a weekly basis.
Computer Skills:
● Extensive use of Procore is required
● Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
Certificates and Licenses:
● Massachusetts Construction Supervisor’s License highly preferred
● OSHA 30 training provided
● First Aid Certification provided
