Accounting Clerk

TJM Promos, one of the nation's largest distributions of promotional products is looking for an Accounting Clerk to work with our team. We work with government, consumer, and commercial customers to assist them in growing their business and causes using custom promotional products.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable with a flexible workflow. While there will be a large degree of autonomy in daily tasks, there will also be collaborative tasks that require team input. Because our company is team-oriented, a positive, upbeat attitude is a must
In this position, you will compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.
Requirements
Degree in Accounting or 3 years experience in that field.
Managing one's own time.
Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
Communicating effectively in speech and writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Using proper spelling and grammar.
Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Using mathematics to solve problems.
